Layer-2 Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch
       

       Layer 2 switches are located at layer 2 of the OSI model, the data link layer. Compared with ordinary switches,
the development of two-layer switching technology is relatively mature. The two-layer switches are data link layer
devices, which can identify the MAC address information in the packet and forward it according to the MAC
address. Moreover, the two-layer switches support line speed switching and have a higher throughput.
 
      Layer 2 switch works at the data link layer. It can recognize the MAC address information in the packet, forward
it according to the MAC address, and record these MAC addresses and corresponding ports in its own internal
address table.
